Six horticultural colleges have been given the chance to work with the number one garden hand tools manufacturer in the world, as part of the ‘Lights, Camera, Action’ competition taking place at the Harrogate Flower Show.

Fiskars Brands UK Limited is reaching out to help educate students on the latest in garden hand tools technology, giving them valuable gardening techniques that are vital to master before entering the industry.

As well as sponsoring the competition itself, Fiskars has donated over £700 worth of gardening equipment so the colleges can reach their goals at the show, during their horticultural education and within the sector itself.

“We believe that this is the ideal platform to not only support horticultural colleges and help them get recognised, but also provide them with the best knowledge in tool innovation and technology, which they can take away with them once they have successfully completed their courses,” said, Fiskars Brands UK senior brand manager, Wayne Greensmith.

“Fiskars wishes everyone taking part in the competition the very best of luck and we look forward to supporting the show in 2010.”

Fiskars produces a complete range of garden tools including pruners, shears, digging tools, cultivators and accessories, plus a kids’ tool set. It offers exciting innovations that help make gardening easier and more fun. For product information please visit www.fiskarsgarden.co.uk
