Paskett PR

As gardeners are preparing to brush off the winter dust from their tools and restore the garden to its former glory, it is also a good time to give the lawn a little bit of TLC to ensure it thrives through the warmer months.

John Deere is advising gardeners to scarify their lawns in early spring to remove the build up of thatch – dead grass, moss and weeds – which prevents air from getting to the roots, this process will allow air and nutrients to revitalise the lawn.

Scarifying manually using a rake is a tough job, John Deere’s petrol and electric scarifiers have adjustable tines that can be positioned to deal with severe cases of thatch build-up and are a chemical free way to treat the lawn.

There are two petrol and two electric scarifiers in its range, each is designed differently to tackle different lawn sizes and suit budgets.

John Deere has more than 200 specialist dealers across the UK. For more information on your nearest dealer call 0800 085 25 22 or visit www.johndeere.co.uk .
