The National Gardens Scheme has 3700 gardens across England and Wales. These are opened up to the public attracting in excess of half a million visitors each year and raising more than £2millon for nursing, caring and gardening charities.

The scheme is famous for The Yellow Book, the guide to each of the 3700 gardens. Most gardens which open for the NGS are privately owned and open just a few times each year. Some gardens open as part of a group with the whole community involved.

NGS has raised more than £25million in the last ten years and its tradition of opening the gardens of quality is supported by its Patron HRH The Prince of Wales.
